On August 18, 2018, Lincoln American University launched its Medical Transfer Program for Sri Lankan medical aspirants in partnership with International Medical Campus (IMC), the leading medical education pathway provider and student placement facilitator in Sri Lanka. The program launch ceremony was held at Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Among other distinguished guests, the launch event was attended by following dignitaries from LAU and IMC:

This agreement will entail the conduct of Pre-Medical Program of Lincoln American University by International Medical Campus. This will not only meet but exceed the Sri Lanka Medical Council's minimum eligibility & University Admission criteria; within a period of just one year of Pre-Medical Program.
The partnership between LAU and MCI will open the doors of new opportunities for medical aspirants in Sri Lanka. Now, Sri Lankan medical students will be able to complete their Pre-Medical Program in Sri Lanka and come to Lincoln American University for medical education in Guyana at affordable fees. Complete the MD Program and become a doctor.
On the occasion, Prof. Sayed K. Washim said, "I am happy that the opportunity to study medicine for the younger generation of South Asia and to pursue lucrative careers in medicine in the North American Region mainly in USA and Canada is made easier with our program launched today. India and Sri Lanka are the first two countries in the SAARC region to have the transfer program with USMLE embedded into the MD program in Guyana."
