A medical graduate is eligible for medical registration in Canada if he or she fulfills the criteria of possessing registration requirements laid down by the Medical Council of Canada which, among other things, prescribes that the medical school is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (World Directory) at the time of the program completion.

LAU has been impaneled by the erstwhile National Medical Commission (Erstwhile Medical Council of India, MCI). This makes the medical degree from LAU recognized and valid for students who wish to go back and pursue their careers in India.
